Meet 2025's Cover Artist
Nicole is the talent behind our gorgeous new collection of Edit covers. Having first collaborated in 2018 on our Blue Jungle cover, our paths would cross again five years on.
In 2021, Nicky moved from South Africa to Surrey, England; Jen followed suit two years on. Nicky is the mother of two young children, Jen three. They also share a love of good design and creative partnerships, culminating not only in a blossoming sisterhood, but also a fruitful alliance on the 2025 collection.
Trained in Fine Art at Wits and Textile Design at Central Saint Martins, Nicky’s career has encompassed a diverse array of creative projects. Whether crafting the design for a wallpaper, textile or mural, her work is imbued with evidence of the hand and often nods to her reverence for nature.
For Alexa Lily’s 2025 collection of Edit covers, Nicky hand drew and painted five illustrations that reflect the soft femininity and sophistication of our brand. From the intricate lines of Quiet Contemplation to the palpable whimsy of Poppy’s Delight, Nicky’s brush, pencil and pen constitute the essence of this year’s covers.
